"Reiki" (jap. reiki)

The word is made up of two Japanese words. "Rei" meaning higher power, and "Ki", meaning "life energy"

Let it go, Reiki flows

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress relief and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an invisible "life energy" flows through us to make us feel alive. If the "life energy" is low, we are more likely to get sick or suffer from stress, but if it is high, we are more likely to be happy and healthy.

The origin of Reiki

The origins of Reiki are attributed to Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist monk and spiritual teacher in the early 20th century.

According to the commonly accepted narrative,

Usui embarked on a spiritual journey to seek healing and enlightenment. After years of study, meditation, and practice,

he reportedly experienced a profound spiritual revelation on Mount Kurama in Japan.

This revelation led to the development of the Reiki healing technique.
